About Me

My name’s Maddie Glanton…. Nice to meet you!

My full name is Madeline Suzanne Glanton, but I go by Maddie. I was born on May 7^th, 1999 in San Antonio, Tx. I come from a family of five (including me). I only have two siblings, my younger sister and my twin brother. I am currently 21 years old. I attend Texas State University and I am majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Theatre. I am also a member of the Epsilon Zeta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi at Texas State. I am currently the Homecoming and Greek Challenge Co-chair. I hope to someday work in the entertainment industry, either as an actress or a casting director. I am very passionate about the arts. I’ve always loved movies and theatre. I’ve been in many theatrical productions. My theatre resume includes: “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” as a Saloon Girl/Mother on the Titanic, “Sending Down the Sparrows” as an Inspector, “How The Grinch Stole Christmas Modern Version “as an Office Worker, “Snoopy the Musical” as Lucy Van Pelt, “Dark Road” as an Observer, “Annie” as Pepper, “Dorothy Meets Alice” as the Wicked Witch of the West, “Madagascar the Musical” as Gloria, “The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis” as Adele/Helen’s Mother, “Wild Strawberries” as a Swing Understudy, “Elf the Musical” as Jovie and “Singin’ in the Rain” as Lina Lamont. I have also worked as tech in “Wild Strawberries and “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” I have taken many steps in my career. I had an internship at the Magik Theatre in San Antonio, Tx as a Teaching Intern at their Camp Showbiz. I also have a singing Youtube channel where I sing songs from Broadway musicals. I am very passionate about movies and acting in general, so when my professor for Fundamentals of Digital and Online Media told us to write a blog, I knew mine was going to center on movies. I am really proud of my work thus far, and I can’t wait to see what comes next!
